The villa of Klimataria is located on the road between Siteia and Ierapetra, a few kilometres south of Siteia. The remains of the villa are in very poor condition. In fact the villa was cut in half when the road was built and the remains can be seen on either side of the road. The villa was steeply terraced on the side of a hill and I suspect that the lower part of the villa has filled in with soil since the excavation was carried out, making it difficult to see the outlines of the rooms. In June 2008 the site was also covered in rubbish. The site is included here mainly for the sake of completeness.
